Jeff Haferman

Jeff Haferman is a Computational & Data Scientist with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of the fields of High Performance Computing (HPC), Supercomputing, Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science, with the last 10 as the Director of High Performance Computing (HPC) / Research Computing. Recent work in the area of data analytics / big data including the Hadoop stack and R Programming. Hands-on management of HPC and Data Science teams, supervising a team that performs Engineering Computing Design and Installation, Data Center Infrastructure Management, Unix Systems Administration, Windows Administration, and Network Administration. Jeff Haferman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science from the University of Chicago, followed by a Masters and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa. He was awarded a prestigious NASA Global Change Fellowship, and did his post-doc work at NASA
